— Community centres in Markham will get retrofits to assist the City in reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. The federal government and City of Markham will invest more than $6.4 million and $1.5 million, respectively, towards energy efficient upgrades for the Mount Joy Community Centre, Thornhill Community Centre, and the RJ Clatworthy Arena.
