Eight tree-planting projects supported in Saskatchewan

On July 7, 2026, the Honourable Nathalie Provost, Secretary of State (Nature), highlighted eight projects across Saskatchewan. These projects represent an investment of $24.5 million through the 2 Billion Trees (2BT) program to plant more than five million trees that will help protect nature and biodiversity in the province by restoring critical habitats for species at risk and wildfire-affected areas and by advancing Indigenous-led tree-planting and reforestation efforts. All projects were approved with funding prior to the Budget 2025 announcement to wind down the 2BT program.
