Tribunal Finds Injury—Polyethylene Terephthalate from China and Pakistan

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal today found that the dumping of polyethylene terephthalate, originating in or exported from China and Pakistan, and the subsidizing of the above-mentioned goods from China have caused or are threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry. Anti-dumping and countervailing duties will therefore be collected by the Canada Border Services Agency. The complainant in this case was Compagnie Alpek Polyester Canada of Montréal-East, Quebec.
