Backgrounder: The Government of Canada and the Government of Quebec invest close to $21.5 million in public transit in Sherbrooke

The Government of Quebec is investing $12,482,553 to support five public transit projects in Sherbrooke. The federal government is investing $8,963,126 in these five projects under the Public Transit Infrastructure Stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.

The Government of Canada and the Government of Quebec invest close to $21.5 million in public transit in Sherbrooke

Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Transport and Quebec Lieutenant, and Geneviève Guilbault, Deputy Premier and Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, announce an investment of $21,445,679 to modernize the Société de transport de Sherbrooke (STS) and electrify its vehicles. The governments of Quebec and Canada are investing $12,482,553 and $8,963,126 respectively.
